OLD FRIENDS ARE WONDERFUL

Being out of the medical world today was wonderful. We went exploring, this is a new city to us both and we found important things like the grocery store and drug store. We ran into Radio Shack and took a tour of different parts of this community.

My long time friend Annette and her friend Worth drove 3 hours to spend some time with us, Annette lives in the San Francisco area and happen to be spending a few days on the North Carolina Beach.. It was a very sweet visit. Annette and I have shared our lives for many years. We have been through great joys and also painful drama. She has known all of us for a long time. She has been at all of our major simchas and has walked with us through the ups and downs with Philip’s health. We laughed today and we cried. I enjoyed meeting her friend Worth. He is a kind southern gentleman and I enjoyed him very much. Annette and I don’t see each other often but we always remain in contact. I am blessed because she is my friend. She one time explained to me that each of her friends was like a very special flower. She expressed so beautifully how I feel about all of my close friends. Each one holds a special place in my heart. I am blessed with many wonderful friends.

Tomorrow we are back to the hospital for an echocardiogram. We will get the results October 26th when we return to UNC to meet with the pulmonolotist.

  1. Hi Phil. Hope you are well. I thought of you all during Simchat Torah. I always think of you during this holiday.

  2. Dear Randy: Thank you for taking the time to let us know what is going on with you two. You said you were not a good writer, well I beg to differ. I read the history of Philip’s journey and it was most touching for me to read and get to know more about your families journey with chronic illness. It means a tremendous amount to me to get to know about you and yours without my asking too many questions. I am so glad that you had a wonderful visit with your old dear friend. I am praying and thinking of you every day. Love all of your family loads. Cindi Powell

  3. Hey Phil –

  4. So wonderful to spend time with you and Phil…who is such an inspiration, warm, kind, loving funny and generous.
You, my friend, are an amazing woman of valor…I love being in your life and having you in mine.

  5. @Sam I know what your mean. In the current economy its tough to find a career that pays good enough to live on and is stable . I have discovered that if you just work hard and are consistent you can succeed. Look at the writer of this article, they are oviously hard working and have just been consistent over time and are now enjoying at least what would appear as somewhat of a success. I would encourage everyone to just keep hustling and moving forward.

  6. You made some good points there. I did a search on the subject and found mainly persons will consent with your blog.
