RELEASED AT LAST

Philip was released from the hospital today. We are spending the night at the SECU Family House because it will be easier on Phil if he divides up leaving the hospital and the drive home.

He is feeling better from medication symptoms. We figured out that when the medication is increased he has been sick for about 36 hours. At least we now have an informal expectation of when he will get relief from the symptoms. The home health nurse was at the hospital to help change from the hospital medication to the home medication. I just watched because that particular procedure only has to be done once, so I didn’t have to be involved. The Charlotte nurse will be at our house at 1:00 tomorrow. There was a lot to pack up and get ready to take to Charlotte. We had to sort through three big boxed from the medication distributor and put together packets of what we will need daily for the next 30 days.

Philip is very happy about being out of the hospital and being able to breathe fresh air. He has been chatting with the people here and enjoying the company. We will be really glad to get home, sleep in our own beds and see all people we have missed so much.
